Aunt Jackie's Curls & Coils earns praise in Essence for its historic New York Fashion Week (NYFW) debut, marked by a remarkable partnership with BIPOC designers Bach Mai and Sami Miró. 

Monique Salas, Vice President of Brand and Marketing at Aunt Jackie's, shares in a news release the importance of this monumental collaboration, "We are beyond thrilled to debut Aunt Jackie's Curls and Coils at NYFW in collaboration with designers Bach Mai and Sami Miró. We chose these partners with intentionality due to the inclusivity and representation they display through their brand ethos and on the runway."

Bach Mai debuted at NYFW with his Spring-Summer 2024 collection, "Atlas Crossing the River Styx," which paid tribute to his late father. Mai's father, a refugee from Vietnam who migrated to the United States, inspired this collection, drawing from his blue-collar aesthetics. Sami Miró debuted her unique and environmentally-conscious collection, "Zeo Waste." Through her innovative do-it-yourself approach, she transforms pieces into something fresh, showcasing fashion's boundless versatility.
